Terms of use

Use ScholAgent responsibly.

These terms apply to the ScholAgent public website, early-access registration, and any preview resources expressly made available through it.

Current service

ScholAgent provides AI-assisted assessment of proposals, manuscripts and theses, with a final human-review step. Live assessments are initially limited to the founding test account. The public sample is illustrative. Availability, processing limits and features may change during testing.

Academic responsibility

AI-generated feedback may be incomplete or incorrect. Check every material finding against your document and disciplinary requirements. “Findings reviewed” records the user’s review choices; it does not mean the research is independently verified, approved, certified, or guaranteed acceptance. Text extraction may omit figures, equations, footnotes, scans and formatting.

ScholAgent supports scholarly work; it does not replace disciplinary expertise, research ethics approval, source verification, supervision, peer review, or professional judgment. You remain responsible for research decisions, submissions, citations, disclosures, and compliance with institutional and publisher requirements.

Acceptable use

You may not misuse the site, interfere with its operation, probe protected systems, submit malicious content, evade safeguards, infringe another person’s rights, or use ScholAgent to facilitate academic misconduct, deception, unlawful activity, or harm.

Intellectual property

The ScholAgent name, AgentREM materials, site text, visual assets, methods, and original resources are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Access to the site does not transfer ownership or grant permission to reproduce, commercialise, reverse engineer, or create unauthorized derivative materials. Separate licences may accompany future books, templates, or products.

Your submissions and feedback

You retain rights in information you submit. By requesting an assessment, you confirm permission to process the document and authorize its extracted text and supplied context to be sent to the AI service as described in the Privacy Notice. If you voluntarily provide product feedback, ScholAgent may use it to improve the service without identifying you publicly.

Availability and external links

The site may be changed, suspended, or unavailable without notice. External sites, including scholarly profiles, operate under their own terms and policies; ScholAgent is not responsible for their content or availability.

Disclaimers and liability

The public site and previews are provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, ScholAgent disclaims implied warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from reliance on public or preview content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes and enforcement

These terms may be updated as ScholAgent evolves. Continued use after an update means the revised terms apply. Access may be restricted when reasonably necessary to protect ScholAgent, its users, or the integrity of the service.
